On December 29th, a medical and dental camp was organized in collaboration with Speedy Multi Modes, Prajna Counseling Center, Social Democratic Party (SDPI) 5th Ward, Chokkabettu, CSI Church School Chokkabettu, and NG World Charitable Trust (R), Mangalore. A J Medical Hospital, Kuntikana, Mangalore provided medical support for the event.

The camp commenced with a formal stage program at 9:30 AM, with representatives from each organization present on the dais. The guests included Mr. Noushad (President of SDPI Chokkabettu), Mrs. Samshad Abubakkar (Corporator of Chokkabettu), Mr. Salman, Dr. Siddarth (Medical Officer at AJ Hospital), Mr. Ali (Camp Coordinator at AJ Hospital), and Mrs. Lilly Marry CT (Multi-purpose Worker at Prajna Vocational Skill Training Centre, Mangalore). Mr. Saleem served as the MC for the program.

Mrs. Samshad Abubakkar addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health. She encouraged everyone to focus on nutrition and regular health check-ups, urging them to make use of the camp’s services. Other representatives spoke about the significance of medical camps in rural areas.

The camp saw many attendees seeking services like blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and ECGs. A total of 54 people benefited from the ECG services. The dental department offered treatment for various dental issues, with 60 people receiving care, 20 of whom had cavities treated. Additionally, 100 people had their eyesight examined, and 46 received free spectacles from NG World Trust. Ten individuals were referred for cataract surgeries.

Common ailments such as cold, cough, fever, skin problems, hair fall, back pain, and leg pain were also treated, with free medicines provided to patients. A total of 147 individuals (55 males, 55 females, and 37 children) benefited from the camp. The AJ Hospital team included 10 doctors and 4 nurses, while the dental camp was assisted by 11 doctors and 5 support staff members. A medical social worker coordinated both the medical and dental services at the camp.
