A free health check-up camp was successfully held in Bengare, Mangalore on September 1, 2024. The event was a collaborative effort among several organizations including Speedy Multi Modes Pragya Consultancy,  NG World Charitable Trust (R) Mangalore , AL Madrasatul Deeniya Association, Muneeb Bengare  Corporator,  Rural Health Care, Development Center Yenapoya Vishwa Vidyanalaya, Deralkatte, and Pranaya Charitable Trust.

The camp offered a wide range of medical services including general health check-ups, dermatological assessments, eye examinations, diabetes screening, and gynecological consultations. Approximately 200 individuals from the local community availed themselves of these services.

In his inaugural address, Corporator Muneeb Bengare highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and expressed concern over the lack of awareness among people regarding their health. He urged the community to take proactive steps towards maintaining their well-being.

The program was presided over by Kabir Ahmed, General Secretary of Al Madrasatul Deeniya Association. Other notable attendees included Smitha D’Souza, Principal of Pragya Counseling Center, Dr. Meer Karkera from C, Rash, members of Pranaya Charitable Trust, Muzain I, B, M, President of S, D, P, I Bengare Ward, and Latif Shekham, Masjid In-charge. The health staff and local residents also participated actively in the event.

Free glasses were distributed sponsored by NG WORLD trust to those in need,  ensuring that vision care was addressed. Lilly Marie C.T. from Multi Purpose provided an engaging presentation that underscored the camp’s objectives and highlighted its successes.

The event was well-received by the community, demonstrating the effectiveness of collaborative efforts in providing essential health services to those who might otherwise have limited access. The organizers and volunteers are commended for their commitment to enhancing public health in Bengare, Mangalore.
